When Valérie Morisset, interior designer and design director of Maison & Demeure magazine, bought her condo near Montreal's Lachine Canal in 2016, she went through all her possessions. Valérie has preserved family heirlooms, as well as works and photographs close to her heart. Many of the treasures on display evoke travels or loved ones, like the horseshoe crab shells, found on the beach at her aunt and uncle's home in Delaware, or the geisha painting, created by her cousin. For the magazine, I style the most beautiful houses in Quebec," explains Valérie, "but I'm always happy to find my little home.
